Description: Production designer oana bogdan miller has an extensive background in art direction, creature effects and interior design. as a production designer, she has contributed to tv series including "justified" for fx, "dark blue" for tnt, "the ex list" for cbs and "kamen rider - dragon knight" for the cw network. she has also designed several short film projects and a public service announcement. her first creature effects project which launched her film career in 1992 was roland emmerich's "stargate". from that beginning, oana has worked as a producer and art director of creature and special effects on films such as "underworld 1 & 2", "sky high", "i, robot", "stuart little" and "godzilla". as an art director, oana has contributed to projects including "mindhunter", "castle rock", "justified", "hawaii 5-0", "four christmases", "criminal minds", "cold case", "without a trace", "24", "vanilla sky", and several linkin park music videos.in 2009 oana founded "paint:lab" a local art studio, open to the public to encourage people of all ages to express their creativity through paint on canvas. the studio is also a versatile space for events and parties including birthday parties, fund-raisers and art openings.oana studied interior design at syracuse university, earning a bachelor of fine arts degree in 1990. she was born in bucharest, romania, spent 2 years in algeria and several months in austria, before her family immigrated to new york city.
